Studying the religion of Islam from its source (Islamic university) is an increasingly urgent need along with the Muslims away from their religion. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia known as the Islamic purification movement to aim a lot of knowledge seekers all over the world. The existence of the city of Mecca and Medina which is the starting point of Islamic preaching and always identical to the scholars also had a role in this regard. OVERVIEW Islamic University of Medina
Islamic University of Madinah (al-Islamiyya Jami’ah al-Madinah al-Munawwarah bil) was established on 25-3-1381 H (6-9-1961), during the reign of King Abdul Aziz bin Su’ud Alu Su’ud .
First rector is Sheikh Muhammad bin Ibrahim (the Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Sheikh Abdul Aziz then Bin Baz (the Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), and is currently chaired by prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Ali al-’Uqla.
The curriculum was discussed by the leading scholars of the Islamic world, and currently has five faculties, namely:
A. Faculty of Sharia.
2. Faculty of Da’wa and Ushuluddin.
3. Faculty of Quran and the Islamic Dirasat.
4. Faculty of Hadith and the Islamic Dirasat.
5. Faculty of Arabic.
Islamic University of Medina was a gift from the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Muslim youth all over the world. Until the year 1429 H (2008 AD), the university has graduated 20 385 S1 degree from 147 countries, 74% of them from outside Saudi Arabia, and 968 masters and 621 doctors, 47% of them from outside Saudi Arabia. To Indonesia in particular, UIM has spawned S1 828 undergraduate, 19 master’s, doctoral and 8.
PROCEDURE FOR FILING SCHOLARSHIP
There are three ways that can be taken to apply for a scholarship, namely:
A. Muqabalah (direct interview).
